Announcing the New Microsoft Accessibility Resource Centers
The Association of Assistive Technology Act Programs (ATAP) and fourteen of the State Assistive Technology Act Programs have partnered with Microsoft Corporation to pilot the establishment of Microsoft Accessibility Resource Centers. A total of twenty-six Microsoft Accessibility Resource Centers across the U.S. are participating in a special program designed to show what's possible with accessible technology solutions available on today's computers.
Each of the participating centers is equipped with video demonstrations and accessibility tutorials that demonstrate how to make computing easier, more convenient, and more comfortable to use. Staff experts in computer technology and accessibility will be available so visitors can ask questions and learn how to adjust computers to personal needs and convenience.
Free Microsoft Accessibility Resource CD Sets are available at each center -- so visitors can take information home to use on their own computers after they visit the center.
